On January 26, 2025, in Prague at the stage of the Chamber Theatre Kolowrat, the play “My Father” will be presented for the first time. It tells the story of the life of Lithuanian director Stanislovas Rubinovas. The director, screenwriter, and lead actor is Alexandras Rubinovas, a graduate of the GITIS Workshop of Joseph Tumanov.

In early July 1941, in Paneriai, near Vilnius, Stanislovas’s father was executed, and he and his mother did not comply with an order mandating all Jews to move to the ghetto. They were forced to hide in the forests of Western Belarus until July 1944. They dug a pit and lived in it. For three years, they endured hunger, cold, and constant fear, coming close to death numerous times. This miraculous story of survival, which will leave no one indifferent, is told by Stanislovas Rubinovas’s son, talented actor and director Alexandras Rubinovas.
